Recently there has been a lot of talk around the music genre “COUNTRY” and black country artists and the genre roots, and im loving it because it’s what we need, now back to some serious matter of it all, first and foremost I did not know it was so many black country artists, they do not get display they do not get acknowledge I never heard of their music on the radio or anywhere when I was younger up until recent times when I thought of country music I just saw white people. I only heard white singers and I only knew one black country singer and that was Darius Rucker that’s it! again recently I wanted to do a deep dive research on country music and what I found has intrigued me and still, im learning new things about the origin of “COUNTRY” music it feels good to get to the source of things because these things are not taught in schools or anywhere so it’s very refreshing to do research myself and get to the source and I encourage all of you to do the same, in the meantime here is a website with black country artist: colormecountry.com, if you dont know I write mini-stories and I have a mini-story about country music here’s the link: Country Music | WritersCafe.org | The Online Writing Community, and you can read the other stories on my publishing site too, thanks. Another thing that was not taught in school is there were black cowboys and I have a post about that Here is the link: Black history post! – Mix Of Things.

These are just a couple of reasons why personal deep dive research is needed to know these things and understand them, and BLACK history is AMERICAN history!
