derrick rose represented chicago on any court he stepped on and as an illionis man and as a basketball fan it was so exciting to see a fellow illinois man play basketball and had the city on his back every night, he was a hooper he loved the game of basketball at his jersey retirement ceremony he showed a picture to the crowd and he said this picture was important because he showed a kid with a arm cast on one arm holding a basketball ball in another arm and he had holes in his sock and shoes, he said that was dedication. he was a student of the game, he was willing to learn and he wanted to be great so he learned from mj and kobe bryant, the dedication he had in basketball was special, during his career was special times for me because basketball was fun and exciting to me and he brought that excitement and explosiveness you knew every night he would give his all out on the court very special. he said he was quiet and a introvert, but he was the leader of the bulls and he gave out knowledge to his team mate. it was so thrilling just watching him play basketball with so much passion and heart, and his movitation was his home town chicago.
